Lucas Commercial Flooring is a full-service commercial flooring provider, owned and operated by an interior designer with 18 years of flooring experience, support staff and consultants with a combined 85 years of flooring experience, and in-house installers with a combined 100+ years of flooring installation. 

Opened in 2008, Lucas Commercial Flooring has been working with long-term customers to provide solutions to their flooring needs with multiple customers that have been partnering with us since opening day. Our goal is to create long-lasting partnerships by putting customer service first.

We are not just a flooring company; we are a customer service company.

Dana Hetrick,  President

Dana Hetrick started in the flooring industry in 2002 and received her BA in Interior Design from Park University in 2004. She wears many hats at Lucas Commercial Flooring, but Dana enjoys spending time with customers and learning more every day about flooring. 

Dana believes that the flooring industry can make a real difference in the world by creating safer, healthier, and more comfortable work environments. She is passionate about finding the right solutions for customers to meet their project goals. 

Dana spends her time away from the office with her son, Logan, and her two dogs Molly and Milo.

Dana is President with the local National Association of Women Business Owners- Kansas City, participated as a Woman of Impact nominee with the American Heart Association in 2023, is on the Enterprising Women Magazine Board, and was named a 2023 Enterprising Woman through Enterprising Women Magazine. 

Joe Hetrick, Estimator

Joe Hetrick joined the Lucas Flooring team in 2022 after 21 years in the construction business. His focus in the office is estimating and proposals, so he can help you figure out how much you need and how much it will cost! 

In his off hours, Joe enjoys golf, fishing, and spending time with his son. 

Curtis Gregory, Account Manager

Curtis Gregory came to Lucas Commercial Flooring with years of experience in installation and account management. He has been a great addition to the team, providing a great resource for his customers and Lucas with his flooring knowledge. 

Outside of work, Curtis enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, and trout fishing. 

Michael Boyd,  Project Manager

Mike Boyd joined the office after 20 years of installation! He is a treasured resource that knows all of the newest flooring installation techniques, but has experience installing every variety of flooring. In the office, he is a project manager and field supervisor. ​

When not at work, Mike enjoys golf with his family and friends, fishing, and hunting. 

Installation Foremen and Journeyman

Hire Lucas Commercial Flooring for your Project, and your project will be ran by one of our experienced foreman to make the process smooth and the outcome great! Our crews are made up of a Project Foreman, Journeymen, and Apprentices, all of which have completed or are in the process of attending INSTALL training through Floorlayers 1181 Regional. 

Pat Simon, Warehouse Manager

Pat Simon is the ultimate go-to person at Lucas. Pat is not only in charge of keeping your orders organized and ready in our warehouse, but he can be seen on site delivering, at our suppliers picking up necessities, and sometimes even dropping off a sample or two. 

​Pat is a proud father of 3 children and enjoys working on cars. 

Lucas Bousum

Many inquire about the origin of the name Lucas Commercial Flooring. Many guess that it was a maiden name, a father's name, grandfather's name; however, the true inspiration for Lucas Commercial Flooring was Lucas Bousum. Lucas was a rescued pet from Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter (FOPAS) who loved his human so much, and whose human loved him so much, that they inspired each other to greatness. 

​In his spare time, Lucas enjoyed walks with his human and playing with a spiky green bouncy ball.
