Account Manager |
Lucas Commercial Flooring is looking for an Account Manager that is self-motivated, collaborative, and excited to meet new people and make lasting connections.
The Account Manager is responsible for business growth and customer retention. The primary focus is prospecting and qualifying new business leads, closing business deals, and managing existing accounts. Support will be provided by the Lucas team. Existing accounts that are a good fit will be immediately assigned. We are looking for someone who is committed to building a long-term career with us!

The Account Manager is responsible for business growth and customer retention. - Treating customers, peers, and vendors with respect.
- Focus on Value: Meet with customers to find their true flooring needs by evaluating performance, design, schedule, and cost.
- Collaborate with Lucas Team to coordinate estimate, design, installation, and service requests to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Lucas Team for marketing tools and social media needed to support sales role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate effectively through all forms of communication, including through Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Google Docs
- Self-motivated and strong drive to succeed. Must take ownership of role.
- Ability to plan, forecast, and schedule time-needs independently.
- Must be able to work in various settings- this role is estimated to spend 75% of the time at customer locations and 25% of the time in the office. Travel within field is predominantly within KC Metro Area
- Ability to navigate participation in organizations and networking events to develop contacts and new business.
- Must be able to work in a team setting, communicating effectively and involving Estimating, Administration, and Project Management teams when applicable.
- 2 years of experience in a result driven, B2B role, construction industry experience is a bonus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements of a driving check and background check. A reliable car is required.
- Physical Requirements: must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

- ESTIMATING provides site measures and evaluations for potential projects and provides pricing proposals based on scope determined by account manager and customer.
- SCHEDULING coordinates with installation to get the project completed based on scope.

JOB TYPE:
- Full-time, Salary plus commission- uncapped earning potential, Mileage can be reimbursed weekly for sales calls and networking events for first 90 days, monthly reimbursements after that time
- WORK LOCATION: Office based in Independence, MO, travel required in KC Metro
- FLEXIBLE HOURS: Flexible hours to allow for customer needs, networking events, etc, without exceeding 40 hours per week.
- BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance; 6 Paid Holidays, 2 Paid Volunteer Days, and 5 days PTO immediately upon hire

An Administrative Project Coordinator position is available at Lucas Commercial Flooring in Independence, MO. Located close to the stadiums with access to I-70, I-435, and 40 Hwy, our office is easily accessible from anywhere in the KC Metro.

You will work collaboratively with sales staff, warehouse, and installation to ensure administrative functions for your projects meet the quality and customer service standard that Lucas Flooring values. The APC is a crucial role in ensuring projects run smoothly.

- Creating Job Paperwork for material processing and installation
- Collaborating with Warehouse to Track Materials on arrival
- Collaborating with Scheduling to Track Project Schedule Completion in Spreadsheet
- Project Invoicing
- Tracking punch list items and repairs
- Additional tasks include showroom support and vendor coordination
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, and OneDrive) and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, can communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and through text/email.
- Administrative experience with an emphasis on attention to detail and customer service.
- Self-motivated individual with time management skills and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
